Legacy Equine Rehabilitation

In November I got to go and visit the team at Legacy Equine Rehab to see their state of the art therapy yard based in Church Broughton, Derbyshire, in its early stages.

I've known Dani for a long time... She used to teach me when I had my horse and was eventing, as well as do his back for me. I've also worked for her in the past, so when she phoned me and explained about her new business venture I was super excited.

Dani and business partner Sam have a wealth of experience between them, and there's not doubt this therapy yard will absolutely thrive under their guidance.

They're the only yard with a water treadmill in Derbyshire, which is now available to book. Using a water treadmill is a great tool to aid fitness and rehab for your horse. I was actually there on their training day, the first day of the treadmill being in use, so it was really fun to see how it worked and how the horses got on with it.

They also have various rehab livery packages available which includes use of the treadmill, lunge pen, horse walker, solarium etc, as well as hiring out their school. It really is a gorgeous yard.

I'm really looking forward to going back when they're up and running properly. Although I know after only a few months of running they're already extremely popular and busy.
