Idyllwild Horsemanship - Kimberly Dunn

I love my trips down to Devon to work with this lovely lady. This is our third photoshoot together now, and each time I enjoy it just as much as the last.

Kimberly is an amazing coach. She works with people on their mindset and horsemanship, an absolute killer combination if you want to succeed in your goals with your horse.

We started off with some liberty work with her gorgeous gelding, Snoox. It always fascinates me how they work together, in total harmony. No tack. Kim's demeanor is just so calm and clear, it is really a pleasure to watch.

They're now based on an old racing yard in Seaton, Devon. A beautiful setting on the south Devon coast.

After the loose schooling, we did some ridden work in the field, I love to capture some details along the way.

Kim regularly writes for Irish Field magazine, and Western Horse magazine. It's always lovely to see the images from her shoots in these places, and it's so important she has beautiful images to elevate her authority in her field.

After some ridden work we did some groundwork on the yard using some of the tools Kim uses to desensitise the horses she works with. We finished off with some gorgeous portraits of her, Snoox & her dog Mavis.

Of course after the shoot I headed to the local beach with my dogs for a lovely walk and some breakfast. Nothing hits like a post shoot breakfast by the sea. So relaxing and another pinch me moment that this is my job, I truly have the best job in the world.
